ARÍNZANO,
A THOUSAND YEARS OF MYSTERY

A THOUSAND YEARS
OF MYSTERY

For almost 1000 years, Arínzano has cultivated the mystery of Time and Nature. Located in an incomparable valley, magnified by its microclimates, stone, earth and water give rise to an exceptional terroir favourable to the singular expression of three very special varieties of wine. The estate has been successively owned by monks, lords and wine-producing families, with a constant link to wine. Today, in the center of this magnificent valley crossed by the Ega River and the Cierzo wind, Arínzano reveals wines that preserve the strength and grace of Time and Earth.

TERROIR

Arínzano is above all a magnificently wild and vibrant landscape, an oasis in an otherwise arid environment which occupies 350 hectares, with only a third dedicated to vines. This thousand-year-old glacial valley collects a current of fresh air from the Atlantic that crosses the last massifs of the Sierra Urbasa to rush down the river, towards the slopes of the vineyards. In this vast amphitheatre, the combined energies of the Cierzo wind and the Ega river give each plot a particular inflection. Earth, stone and water give the area its power, energy and emotion.

VINOS DE PAGOS

The denomination of Vino de Pago is the highest category that a wine can obtain in Spain, higher than the Qualified Denomination of Origin. After years of exhaustive demonstration of the unique qualities of its climate, geology and vineyards, Arínzano is the first property in northern Spain to have received this recognition.
